why this exists
about 巴
a quiet little ledger for money that isn't coming back.
what is 巴?
巴 is a read-only watchtower for Robinhood Chain (an Ethereum L2, chain id 4663). It keeps a running tally of everything that has been permanently burned, mis-sent, or otherwise lost on the chain — and streams new losses live as they happen.
It's not a wallet, not an exchange, and not a contract. It holds no funds, holds no keys, and can't touch anything. It just watches, and writes down what it sees.
why track burned money?
Burn activity is a real on-chain signal — it shows deflationary pressure, tells you what a community is willing to destroy, and documents how much value has simply vanished. Most explorers show you a single transaction at a time; 巴 shows you the lifetime total, broken down by address and token.
questions
Native ETH and well-known tokens (WETH, USDG) are priced. USDG is assumed to equal $1. Other tokens are counted by amount but left unpriced, so the dollar total is a lower bound, not a perfect figure.
No. A burn address has no private key, and tokens sent to their own contract are stuck by design. "Gone forever" is not an exaggeration — that's the whole point.
Never. It's a read-only node. No private keys, no signing, no transactions.
The official Robinhood Chain RPC with a public fallback, Robinhood's documented token contracts for canonical addresses, and CoinGecko for the ETH price. Every event links to the block explorer so you can verify it yourself.
disclaimer
巴 is a data tool, not financial advice. Figures are read from public chain state and may lag or be incomplete. Verify anything important against the explorer before relying on it.
